King David Harp (Kinnor)

The Kinnor Lyre Harp was used throughout the temple services until the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE by the Roman forces of Titus. Using the Biblical scale of ten notes, its music would swell in anthems of praise during the great festivals of the Lord. The Kinnor Harp was known as the Lyre of David and in ancient times had three to twelve strings. Whereas we do not know how many strings were on the Lyre of David, we do know its effect on the human psychic.(Source: http://www.biblesearchers.com/temples/jeremiah11.shtml#David)

In 1 Samuel 16 we read about how David's harp game had a positive effect on Saul's psyche. It literally means that the evil spirit left Him.
