Joah's tablet

Current archaeological finds repeatedly confirm the truth of the Bible. This is also the case in the current report from Timeline - Germany. More exciting than a Hollywood movie, this is about a controversial find: the Joash tablet, which describes repair work on Solomon's Temple (2 Kings 12). The film is on YouTube at:

Description of video contribution from Timeline Germany: The Bible describes King Solomon as a powerful and wise ruler. But did he really live? For thousands of years there were no facts that would have confirmed its existence - until a tablet appeared in 2003 that supposedly provided rock-solid evidence. Amir Ganor, a detective with the Israel Antiquities Authority, believes he has uncovered a global counterfeiting ring. He traced the path of the inscriptions to their owner Oded Golan and accused the collector of fraud. Millionaires and scientists, spies and detectives play a role in this episode about the investigation and trial of the authenticity of the tablets.

Joash Tablet: In 2001, this inscription was reported as describing the repairs to Solomon's Temple in the time of Joash. However, the authenticity of this inscription is doubted by many historians. (© Arte)
